Dave HernandezĀ (born Yanul David Hernandez-Campos LaBastida Barreras; September 20, 1970) is a Mexican guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is best known as a former member of the AmericanĀ indie rockĀ bandĀ The Shins, with whom he recorded four studio albums (bass, guitar, backing vocalsĀ (1998ā2000, 2003ā2009)). He is currently the guitarist of theĀ post-punkĀ bandĀ The Intelligence, and is the former vocalist and guitarist of theĀ punkĀ bandĀ Scared of Chaka.
